BIRMINGHAM TAKES CENTRE STAGE AS STRICTLY COME DANCING LIVE KICKS OFF 2027 UK TOUR

The Glitterball is coming to Birmingham as Strictly Come Dancing Live opens its spectacular 2027 arena tour at Utilita Arena Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, UK — Birmingham is set to become the home of Strictly sparkle this January as Strictly Come Dancing Live 2027 launches its nationwide arena tour at Utilita Arena Birmingham, bringing the glamour, drama and dazzling dance routines of the BBC’s much-loved show to the city for five spectacular performances.

The Strictly Live Tour will officially begin in Birmingham on Friday 22 January 2027, before continuing across the UK. The Birmingham run will feature performances on Friday 22 January at 7.30pm, Saturday 23 January at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, and Sunday 24 January at 1.30pm and 6.30pm.

And this year’s tour promises to be particularly special, with three of Strictly’s most recognisable judges back together at the judging desk.

Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood will reunite as the 2027 tour judging panel, while Janette Manrara returns as host. The tour is directed by Craig Revel Horwood and will bring two hours of live entertainment to arenas around the country, featuring spectacular choreography, show-stopping group numbers, stunning costumes and live music from the Strictly band and singers.

For Birmingham audiences, there is an added reason to get excited: the city will be the first stop on the entire 2027 tour.

After opening in Birmingham, Strictly Live will travel to Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham before finishing its UK run at The O2 in London on 14 February. In total, the 2027 tour comprises 29 shows across the country.

A Strictly experience like no other

Fans heading to Utilita Arena Birmingham can expect all the ingredients that have made Strictly a television phenomenon — but on a much bigger scale.

From jaw-dropping routines and glamorous costumes to live music, spectacular production and the judges’ legendary banter, the arena show brings the atmosphere of Strictly’s TV ballroom directly to audiences.

And there is one crucial difference: the audience gets to decide who takes home the Glitterball Trophy.

While Shirley, Anton and Craig will critique the performances and give their scores, the ultimate decision belongs to the people in the arena, who can vote for their favourite couple using their mobile phones.
