Meet the Brumside radio committee and there roles

Simon John Widdus – Director

Simon took over the role of Brumside director in Feb 2024. Simon is responsible for the running of the station ensuring a smooth day to day process of the station and to make sure we stay inline with all of the Licenses and regulations we as a station must comply with. Simon has been a business owner for many years and ran many successful business’s. This will prove very handy for Simon and he can use he knowledge and experience to help grow the station.

Dave Priday – Vice Director

Dave is one of the few originals left who were part of Brumside from the early days. In Feb 2024 Dave stepped in as the Vice to help with running the station. Dave helps Simon with the running of the station. With Dave’s long service to the station he has built up a massive knowledge of the day to running’s of a station and is the heartbeat of Brumside radio.

Richard Laundon – Technical

Richard is in charge of anything technical at the station. If it has a plug on it the Richards looks after it. (that’s how we see it, he might not agree.) Richard has 40years of Radio broadcasting experience as well as setting up and configuring many audio desks. Richard talks with a wealth of knowledge of systems and we mainly just nod and pretend we understand.

Gary Haywood – Events

Gary is our head of events as he’s pretty much the only one that’s not got a face for radio. Gary looks after events for Brumside radio and always makes his presence known. With his great knowledge of music and great sense of humor (those we’re his words) Gary always brings energy and enjoyment to your events.

Scott Jones – Website

Scott joined the team as website developer in Feb 2024. Scott have previously managed websites and have great knowledge of website editing server maintenance. Scott’s roles will be keeping the website up to date with relevant information and keeping the schedules and presenters profiles up to date
